Guardians of the Crystal is a science-based serious game developed by Ludolab that seeks to prevent anorexia nervosa and promote a healthy relationship with one’s body.
Through an immersive narrative, meaningful choices, and structured gameplay, players learn to identify distorted thinking patterns, strengthen self-esteem, and adopt positive coping strategies in the face of beauty ideals and social pressure.

The project is grounded in the MCS (Multiple Composite Scenarios) methodology — a proven approach that combines principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Prevention Intervention (PI) within engaging, interactive environments.
With this foundation, Guardians of the Crystal transforms scientific evidence into an accessible, emotionally rich, and transformative experience.

Story

In a world divided by the obsession with perfection, the Supreme Crystal maintains the balance between body, mind, and spirit. But when dark forces begin to corrupt its energy, that balance collapses — giving rise to the Specters.

Players step into the role of a new student at Ginga University whose life changes dramatically after the mysterious death of a professor. In seeking the truth, the player will discover that their own thoughts and perceptions have a big impact on reality.
To restore harmony, the player must join the Guardians and face the distorted reflections of their selves, forge bonds of trust, and learn that true strength comes not from perfection, but from acceptance.
